A scalable, distributed solution to speed data to the people who need it.
SnapLogic's architecture has been designed to address key requirements for fast, efficient data access.
SnapLogic's Architecture is inherently scalable to achieve the highest levels of performance. SnapLogic Resources can be deployed at data sources (such as databases, Web servers, etc.), distributing the data collection workload and keeping it free from bottlenecks. Pipelines can be executed either locally at a Resource configured with a data source, centrally on a dedicated SnapLogic server, or distributed across a collection of servers—whatever configuration suits your needs. Large, complex integration Pipelines can be distributed over entire server farms. The standard, consistent REST interfaces used throughout the SnapLogic framework make configuring and tuning Pipelines simple and straightforward.
Built into the framework is a metadata Repository that scales as deployments grow. The Repository ensures that users can always track the origin and transformation history of all data flowing through the SnapLogic framework.
The SnapLogic architecture was designed by developers with extensive experience in parallel processing database techniques and in high-performance scalability solutions for the Web. This team has applied this expertise to deliver SnapLogic: a scalable data integration framework for the Edge of the Enterprise Infrastructure.
SnapLogic Resources and Pipelines can be easily secured through existing enterprise Web security mechanisms. Views of data and access to Snaplogic Resources and Pipelines can be controlled through role-based access controls based on enterprise authentication systems, such as LDAP directories.
IT organizations do not need to invest or invest in any new security technologies. Rather, they can simply apply the Web security infrastructure already in place to secure internal assets.
