SaaS, Cloud Computing, PaaS and the future of Mashups….

Lots of chatter around SaaS, Cloud Computing, PaaS, etc.
Loraine Lawson says wryly, “In short, whether it’s cloud computing, SaaS or Web 2.0, you’ve still got to integrate it. ”
I couldn’t agree more. But I think the kinds of integrations that are going to be built will be different from what we generally see today. I think the pattern we’ll see emerge will be more in line with what we now call Enterprise Mashups.
I believe that they’ll be built from fragments that are part SaaS, part Cloud, and part PaaS and are mashed across networks, departments and even organizations.

I listened to Dana Gardners BriefingsDirect podcast on Web Oriented Architectures and Phil Wainwright made the comment that ‘WOA is the SOA that works’. It made me laugh.
There was complete agreement among the panelists.

Day two wrapped up here at Web 2.0. A few points to mention.
