Earlier this week we announced a significant milestone for SnapLogic ? the launch of our Big Data-as-a-Service (BDaaS) solution. The solution leverages our new Cloudera certification and establishes a breakthrough point of view with teeth, for Big Data, a popular même where very few killer applications have emerged so far. We also established SnapLogic’s Hadoop expertise ? demonstrating how we help enterprises move data into and out of Hadoop, and other big data targets, rapidly. Fast and simple data ingress and egress with Hadoop was a major missing link for Hadoop solutions prior to SnapLogic’s BDaaS solution. SnapLogic makes importing and exporting large amounts of data easy enough for a ?regular Joe? (as opposed to a data scientist). To find out more, check out this video:
Companies all over the globe are using our integration platform to connect enterprise business applications on-prem and in the cloud. This new solution (which our CEO Gaurav Dhillon affectionately calls our ?bad-ass solution,? as in ?BDaaS?) offers regular Joe?s and data architects alike an easy way to integrate Hadoop data with several other data sources, including leading Business Intelligence (BI) apps, for better information flow and decision-making.
To mark our launch of Big Data-as-a-Service we hosted a networking event at Morton?s Steakhouse in San Jose with cocktails and a raw bar. There was a great deal of buzz about the opening of the Strata conference and the future of Big Data and cloud computing. We will be hosting another networking event in conjunction with GigaOM?s Structure Data event in New York City March 20th, where we?ll be exhibiting and speaking. If you are attending Structure Data in NYC this year, we?d love to connect. Drop us a comment below and we?ll send you all the details!
