The Internet of Connected Customers…and Things
Dreamforce 2013 is in full force and it seems that “Internet of” has now officially replaced the word “Connected.” Salesforce has announced Salesforce1 and rolled out a new story, which is the evolution of the Social Enterprise and the Customer Company. The Internet of Customers. This is their take on the Internet of Things, or what Cisco and Gartner call The Internet of Everything.
Whether it’s your customers, your things or everything, it’s all about connecting. And it’s all about connecting with relevance and context. It’s about connecting with each other; connecting your applications and APIs and ensuring you can integrate and manage the growing Big Data volumes, velocity, variety, veracity, venues (cloud and on-premises). It’s about what we at SnapLogic call The Connection Imperative:
