Very cool cloaking device…

Saw today in the paper that Duke Physicists have built a chamber that has a negative index of refraction. Dusted off my old Halliday and Resnick (no Walker on my edition) and found that Snell’s law does in fact predict that the light will bend backwards when the index is negative.

What this means is that light bends around the chamber rendering whatever is inside invisible. Cool.
