Hi! In this video, I will show how a user can easily import all customer invoices from Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Sales into Workday for revenue tracking.
The Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Sales Snap Pack offers a set of pre-built connectors for applications to connect to and from this CRM application. In addition to providing CRUD support, such as Create, Read, Update, Delete, this Snap Pack also supports Search, Upsert and Execute capabilities to fully utilize APIs supported by the Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Sales application.
In this demo, a sample invoice is created using the Mapper Snap as an upstream Snap.
The Dynamics 365 for Sales Snaps provide an effortless way to configure the account to connect to the CRM application.
We also support oAuth type authentication under the account section.
This Snap Pack allows users to easily configure the Dynamics 365 Sales application by inputting simple settings. Various object types are suggested in the Settings tab so that users can complete the settings portion quickly. In this Snap, we select ‘Invoice’. The related object type can be selected if objects are interrelated- such as accounts and account leads.
In order to import all customer invoices from the CRM application, I have to select invoice object in the Read Snap. We have set page size as 1,000 for faster loading and max page number is set to 0 in order to read all pages.
The Mapper Snap maps the source schema to target schema. I am also selecting the invoice number, name and the total amount since this is part of the invoice management and mapping it to the Workday target schema.
The Workday Write Snap is used to import all customer invoices to track the total revenue from these customer invoices.
In the expanded view, I can see all the customer invoices that have passed through the pipeline from the Dynamics 365 for Sales application.
These invoices are pushed into the Workday application.
The Dynamics 365 for Sales Snap Pack enables users to easily and quickly connect, configure and create business processes, such as moving customer invoices, without writing a single line of code or knowing which APIs to call.
