The September 2024 release of the SnapLogic platform is here! This release brings:
- Generative integration updates including new Snaps to the Azure OpenAI LLM Snap Pack
- Improved observability into your node memory usage
Let’s look at the September release highlights.
Generative integration updates
September 2024 Release introduces several new Snaps to the Azure OpenAI LLM Snap Pack.
The new Snaps allow you to interact with the Azure-based OpenAI Assistant, a managed RAG service. The Azure OpenAI Assistant makes it possible to add contextual details and knowledge base information through its “file search” capability. Then the Threads API allows you to store message history.
Additionally, new Snaps allow you to not only create a new Thread and run an existing thread, but also assign a Thread to an existing Azure OpenAI Assistant. Similar to the OpenAI LLM Snap Pack, you need to create an Assistant within your Azure OpenAI instance.
The Azure OpenAI LLM Snap Pack enables you to incorporate advanced language models such as GPT-4, GPT-4 Turbo with Vision, and embeddings into your GenAI-based workflows.
Improved observability
Improved metrics pages are also waiting for you in the new Monitor. The graphs have been optimized on the metrics page to give you insights into heap memory or non-heap memory. The graph view not only allows you to identify specific execution times where you might be nearing memory thresholds but also gives you an early indication that you will need to add additional compute capacity to handle increasing integration workloads.
