SnapLogic SnapReduce 2.0 Now Certified on Cloudera 5

SnapReduce 2.0 Brings iPaaS to Hadoop, Powering Big Data Analytics

SAN MATEO, Calif. — June 4, 2014 — SnapLogic, the Elastic Integration company, today announced that it has been certified on Cloudera 5, the latest version of Cloudera’s unified analytic data management platform, Cloudera Enterprise. Built on Apache™ Hadoop® it serves more and more as the core of enterprise data hubs (EDH) globally. SnapLogic’s Elastic Integration Platform and SnapReduce make it easier for EDH users to acquire, prepare and deliver big data.

“SnapReduce 2.0 enables our customers to further leverage their investments in Hadoop by allowing them to harness Hadoop resources for data integration tasks in addition to other Hadoop applications,” said Greg Benson, chief scientist at SnapLogic. “With this certification, Cloudera users can be assured of the quality and effectiveness of our combined solutions."

By connecting SnapLogic’s integration platform as a service (iPaaS) to Hadoop, Cloudera customers get the advantages of cloud-based integration – no software maintenance and usability, combined with the power and data scale of Hadoop. SnapReduce 2.0 achieves scaling through YARN compliance. In this way, SnapLogic data integration tasks can be scheduled side by side with other Hadoop applications inside a single Hadoop cluster. SnapLogic provides scaling logic that interacts with YARN in order to provision or de-provision SnapLogic containers as needed.

“We are investing deeply in extending our partner ecosystem and certifying partner products on Cloudera Enterprise 5, ensuring our customers have the broadest choice of big data tools and technologies for their existing and future enterprise data hubs,” said Tim Stevens, vice president, Corporate and Business Development, Cloudera. “SnapLogic SnapReduce is a welcome addition to our list of solutions certified on Cloudera 5.”
