Open Source recruiting…

I’ve seen a lot of resumes in my day and many try to puff up different experiences to make every position and project look like a success. Made up titles (Vice President of Reception), non-existent departments (Department of laser printer cartridges), large staffs, etc.

I don’t recall anyone indicate on their resume that the reason they left the company was that there was no there there. Until today. This was on a resume that came in this week.

  • tried to convince our non-existent customers of the non-existent benefits of our non-existent software

  • Ouch!! That hurts. And he’s talking about a Bay Area start-up that I’m sure everyone reading blog this knows about.

So, can I conclude that he was successful in this endeavor? Or not?

If a tree falls in the forest….
