The Foursquare Snap provides read access to Foursquare data
Foursquare is a location-based mobile platform that makes cities easier to use and more interesting to explore. By “checking in” via a smartphone app or SMS, users share their location with friends while collecting points and virtual badges.
The data available through SnapLogic includes standard Foursquare object types, such as users, venues, tips, specials, checkins. For each object, the Foursquare Snap provides create, list and search capabilities.
The Snap does not require any additional setup within FourSquare. During installation, the wizard asks for key attributes required to make the FourSquare connection. Once installation is completed, data from FourSquare can be accessed without any Web Services or programming.
The FourSquare Snap consists of 2 new components excluding connection component* List: This component extracts the friends and explores the venues
Search: This component is used to search the venues, tips and specials near the given geocode values(latitude and longitude)
